Read about your crash; there is a very good bike store, Biemme Bike who also is a Bianchi retailer, Marco the owner has been a mechanic on the Pro Tour. The store is in Forte dei Marmi, by the sea. 9o km from Florence. Right in the "cycling heaven". They speak english, are very nice and not expensive. Good luck!
Just stumbled upon your blog after perusing Operation Beautiful posts. Just thought I'd let you know about a cool bike ride I do each summer - with a bunch of Gators! The bike ride is across the state of Iowa - check out www.ragbrai.com if you want to learn more.
I am in no way affiliated with RAGBRAI - just a frequent participant! I absolutely love the ride and thought I would spread the word. Veganism might be tough - Iowans love their pork and pie!
Some great pictures, but they couldnt begin to describe all that you are :)Im soon going to be near LA where I plan to ride the Tammany Trace. I dont know if its worthy of a rider like you but me being a novice, im sure it will be both beautiful and challenging. If you have any tips or pointers feel free to advise away!
